Han-Wei strikes again in Troubies' dual win in Davis
DAVIS, Calif. – Junior Arden Han-Wei opened with a birdie and an eagle on the first two holes of Wildhorse Golf Club's front nine holes, finishing at 5-under-par 31 and leading St. Francis to a 217-223 win over Davis in Sierra Foothill League girls' golf dual action Tuesday afternoon.

The Troubadours improve to 4-3, both for the season and in league matches.

Han-Wei posted the lowest score of the 12 players in the match, ahead of Davis' top performer, Alessandra Trask, who notched a solid 3-over 39 for the round. Freshman Chloe Jun came through with a 5-over 41, sinking a birdie 3 on the ninth to close out her day. Sophomores Nydia Garcia and Momina Niazi carded matching 47s, while senior Neta Tovar chipped in a 51 to round out the SF scoring. Junior Gianna Seghesio finished with a 58 for the match.

Mehr Jaijee (42) and Lily Lingbloom (43) followed Alessandra Trask atop the Blue Devil scoring. Isabel Sluis added a 47 score, meaning Davis' remaining lineup slightly outscored St. Francis' 2-5. However, the eight-stroke lead among the two teams' top entrants made the difference in the final team tally.

Han-Wei now holds a nine-hole average of 35.71 in the seven dates in 2024. Tuesday marked the third consecutive round under par for St. Francis' former Delta League Player of the Year honoree, and the fifth overall this season. She scored 34 at home five days earlier against Oak Ridge, a 35 at The Ridge on September 17, a career-best 30 against Granite Bay in home action on September 10, and a 33 at home against Folsom on Sept. 9.

St. Francis returns home for the second half of the SFL season, hosting Rocklin at Haggin Oaks at 3:30 p.m.
