Kapinya runners-up in record-setting state final
CLOVIS, Calif. – Junior Lilla Kapinya finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a school record of 22.85 seconds as the last remaining St. Francis swimmer at the CIF State Swimming & Diving Championships at the Clovis Olympic Swim Complex Saturday.
Kapinya advances to state 50 free final
CLOVIS, Calif. – Junior Lilla Kapinya advanced to the championship final in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard consolation final in the 100 free, leading a crew of St. Francis swimmers on the second day of the CIF State Swimming & Diving Championships, held at Clovis Olympic Swim Complex Friday.
Troubie swim wins fourth straight section title
ELK GROVE, Calif. – The squad of sophomore Riley Wood, freshman Mackenzie Terry, junior Lilla Kapinya and junior Landen Didriksen finished third in the 200-yard medley relay to earn a trip to the CIF state meet, then Kapinya won each of the two sprint freestyle events with school records for two more state entries, leading St. Francis to the Division II team title at the Sac-Joaquin Section swimming championships Friday at the Elk Grove Aquatics Center.
Future Bruin leads St. Francis at section swim prelims
ELK GROVE, Calif. – Junior Lilla Kapinya won the 50-yard freestyle and broke her own two-week-old school record, finished second in the 100 free, and led both the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay to runner-up finishes to lead St. Francis in Wednesday’s preliminaries at the Sac-Joaquin Section swimming championships, held at the Elk Grove Aquatics Center.

GRANITE BAY, Calif. – Junior Lilla Kapinya captured individual titles in each of the two sprint freestyle events, breaking her own 50-yard school benchmark in the process, highlighting St. Francis at the Sierra Foothill League swimming & diving championships at Granite Bay Saturday.
