SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Mackenzie Terry, sophomore Riley Wood and junior Lilla Kapinya each captured varsity event wins while joining Landen Didriksen to form a first-place 400-yard freestyle relay, as St. Francis swept a Sierra Foothill League double-dual swimming meet against visiting Del Oro and Rocklin at Jesuit Tuesday night.

The Troubadours outscored the Golden Eagles by a 95-75 margin, while also dispatching the Thunder by a wider 107-63 edge. In turn, Del Oro defeated Rocklin, 100-66.

The foursome of Kapinya, Terry, Wood and Didriksen compiled a winning time of three minutes, 49.97 seconds in the meet finale to complete the two head-to-head victories. This came shortly after Terry touched home in 1:07.95 in the 100 breaststroke as part of an overall 1-3-4 SF finish, along with Kapinya (1:10.02) and Mikayla Magri (1:11.25).

Wood preceded Terry with a first-place 1:04.05 in the 100 backstroke, besting DO's Elise Brubaker by a spread of 3.66 seconds. Kapinya picked up the first Troubie varsity win of the meet, taking down the 200 individual medley at 2:11.78 – more than five full seconds in front of DO's Abigail Landers (2:17.32).

The St. Francis jayvees also won three individual events. Sophomore Emma Dietrich won the two long freestyle races, posting times of 2:19.03 in the 200 followed by a 6:13.63 in the 500-yard version. Freshman Molly Moyer had the closest win by any swimmer in the meet, with her 1:19.44 in the 100 butterfly edging Golden Eagle Kylie Cook by a mere three hundredths of a second (1:19.47).

Not yet counted in the team scores is 1-meter diving. Neither Rocklin nor Del Oro field divers, so Thursday's dive meet with Christian Brothers will also serve as the dual matchup between the Troubies and their two SFL opponents. This means the two team scores will become 120-63 (vs. Rocklin) and 108-75 (vs. Del Oro) after Thursday.

Tuesday's meet marked the season home opener for both St. Francis and host Jesuit, yet also served as Senior Night for both schools. The team honored 2026 graduates-to-be Milena Bonnici, Rose Haag, Charlotte Krause, Gabriella McHugh, Juliet Shah and Justine Stegall as part of the meet.

The Troubadours return to action on March 26 for what has become an annual meet: a dual with fellow all-girls' Catholic school Carondelet. The matchup takes place at neighboring De La Salle High, which will host Jesuit for its half of the meet. The first event starts at 3:30 p.m.
