ROCKLIN, Calif. — Alyssa Cheah and Sofia Rabinovitz scored in each half while goalkeeper Maggie Buffleben tallied nine saves, leading St. Francis' junior varsity Red to a 2-0 shutout of Rocklin's in soccer action Friday night.
The Troubies, in action after games against Folsom and Vista Del Lago were canceled earlier in the week, improves to 10-2-1 for the year.
Cheah scored her goal in the 33rd minute, while Rabinovitz netted hers in the 50th. That puts Rabinovitz in a tie with teammate Giuliana Del Guerra with 11 goals for the year. Cheah, who patrols the backfield as a defender and midfielder, scores her second goal and her first since the 10-0 win over Manteca at the Buff Cup tournament on December 3.
The St. Francis JV Red returns to action at home on Tuesday against Inderkum at 3:30 p.m.
