Troubie hoop swept in road set at Davis

DAVIS, Calif. – Senior Lexi London scored 15 points while freshman Hassanah Ramsey-Gilbert followed with 13 points and a team-leading seven rebounds, but St. Francis struggled to just 25 percent from the floor in falling to Davis, 64-43, in the varsity nightcap of a Sierra Foothill League girls' basketball tripleheader Thursday night.

The Troubadours drop their fourth straight loss in falling to 8-11 for the year and 2-5 in league play. The Blue Devils move to 13-8 overall with a 3-4 SFL ledger.

London, who drained six field goals including a three-pointer, also grabbed six rebounds for the night. Ramsey Gilbert scored the majority of her points at the free-throw line (7-for-10) but also managed three buckets. Freshman Elise Vipond added eight points, with six coming from beyond the three-point arc. Audrey Bashore, on loan from JV Gold, chipped in another five tallies with Natalia Zitelli accounting for the remaining two.

London finishes the first half of the SFL schedule with 322 points on the season, raising her career total to 933. She continues her march toward becoming just the third Troubie in the MaxPreps era (2003-current) to surpass 1,000 for her career, along with Lauren Craig (1,260 from 2012-16) and former teammate Sydney Teoh (1,167 from 2021-25). London also needs just eight to move ahead of Jolise Limcaco (2007-11) for No. 5 on the school's career leaderboard.

The varsity game completed a sweep for the Blue Devils, with JV Gold falling by a 48-37 final, following a 50-18 loss for JV Red. Sophomores Emmy Cheatham and Saihej Sekhon each hit four field goals en route to 13 and 9 points, respectively. For Red, freshman Lily Jimenez doubled her previous career high with 12 of the Troubies' 18 points.

The St. Francis-Davis matchup was originally scheduled as a JV doubleheader on Thursday with varsity making the trip across the Yolo Causeway on Friday. However, the two nights were more recently consolidated into a Thursday three-game set.

The Troubadours return to action on Monday for an SFL visit to Del Oro: JV Red at 4:30, Gold at 6 p.m. and varsity at 7:30 at Bonner Gym.
