RANCHO MURIETA, Calif. – Sophomore Maggie Price had six goals and 11 draw controls to help St. Francis to 15-5 victory over Bishop O'Dowd. The Troubadours improved to 8-0 on the season and are ranked No. 16 and No. 5 in the North Coast Section in the Maxpreps rankings.
Price scored five goals in the first half as the Troubies built a 10-1 lead over the Dragons (9-3). Senior Jade Borg scored three of her four goals in the half, while junior Grace Barger and sophomore Sophia Gorona added scores.
Junior Judy Cates opened the second half with two goals after Bishop O'Dowd had cut the lead to 10-3. SF held the Dragons to just two goals over the final 12 minutes to close out the victory.
The 8-0 start is the best in school history heading into Tuesday's matchup with Granite Bay (9-0). The Grizzlies are ranked No. 10 in the Maxpreps state rankings and are No. 22 in their national top 25.
First draw is at 7:30 at Mather Sports Complex.
