DAVIS, Calif. – Junior Grace Barger had four goals and two assists to help St. Francis post a 17-6 win over Campolindo Saturday at Davis Senior High School.
"It was a really great team win," said sophomore Sophia Gorona, who added three goals and an assist in the win. "We knew it was going to be one of our more competitive games. We really rose the occasion and played hard.
Junior Judy Cates scored three of her four goals in the first half as SF built a 9-2 advantage. The Troubies got another strong performance from Danny Skeoch in the goal. She made six saves in the game.
The Troubadours added eight goals in the second half to pull away to win their fourth game of the season.
SF (4-0) will travel to the Bay area for a pair of games next weekend starting with Gunn on Friday.
"I am really excited about the overnight trip," said Gorona.
The Troubies will complete the weekend with a game against Castileja at Gunn HS on Saturday.
