  • Troubie trio earns Sacramento Bee All-Metro honors

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis High junior Brianna McGahan was selected to the third team, while sophomore Sydney Teoh and senior Jadyn Weaver garnered fifth-team distinction and honorable mention, respectively, as the Sacramento Bee rolled out its 2022-23 All-Metro basketball selections this week.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior wing Jadyn Weaver will represent St. Francis at the 46th-annual Sacramento Optimist All-Star game, held this Sunday at Capital Christian. She joins Troubadour head coach Brittany Woodard, who was selected as the coach for the South in the large-school game.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis’ Maryclaire Robinson and Brittany Woodard garnered Delta League Coach of the Year honors for girls’ soccer and girls’ basketball, respectively, as the league office rolled out its winter honors Wednesday. The Troubadour basketball team won the league title outright while the soccer team shared the banner with fellow area powerhouse Davis.

    FRESNO, Calif. – Sophomore point guard Sydney Teoh scored 16 points while juniors Brianna McGahan and Chidera Okoye also scored in double figures, but 13th-seeded St. Francis could not overcome an early deficit in falling to No. 4-seeded Central, 67-53, in the first round of the CIF State Division II girls’ basketball tourney Tuesday night.
  • Troubie soccer, hoop earn road NorCal playoff berths

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – St. Francis High School’s two winter sports will travel for their respective first-round playoff games, the CIF announced Sunday afternoon. The Troubadour soccer team earned the No. 7 seed in the NorCal Division I Regional and will face No. 2-seeded Carondelet on Tuesday at 5 p.m., while SF basketball snared a No. 13 seed and will take on fourth-seeded Central High in Fresno at 7 p.m that same night.

  • Troubies finish league season as undefeated champs

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Jadyn Weaver poured in a career-high 24 points on 10-for-23 from the floor, leading St. Francis to a 54-41 over Davis in the 2022-23 Delta League finale. The Troubadours close out the regular season with a 22-4 overall record and a perfect 12-0 mark in conference play, earning the program’s 17th all-time league banner and the first since 2018.
