    RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Freshman attacker Karly Okamoto scored two goals with two assists while Lauren Wieser and Brynley Hodge also netted two scores in a 13-9 varsity loss, while Olivia Hamm exploded for an eight-goal performance in a 16-5 junior varsity victory, as St. Francis split its Delta League home lacrosse doubleheader against Davis at Mather Sports Complex Wednesday night.

    RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — Sophomore Elizabeth Barger scored seven goals in a 17-4 varsity win while freshman Olivia Hamm figured on all but one of her team’s goal in a a 12-3 junior varsity victory, as St. Francis swept Del Oro in a non-league high school girls’ lacrosse doubleheader at Mather Sports Complex Monday night.

    RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – Sophomore Brynley Hodge scored a game-high four goals, senior Zahra Smith won eight of the game’s 20 draws, and the varsity-junior varsity sister tandem of Abby and Olivia Alvernaz combined for seven goals and three assists in the two games, as St. Francis won both ends of a home lacrosse doubleheader against Bella Vista at Mather Sports Complex Friday night. The varsity team beat the Broncos, 17-1, to improve to 7-2 for the year. The Troubadour jayvees prevailed by a 13-2 final to move to 5-3 overall. Hodge also tallied an assist for five total points, matching Abby Alvernaz’ two goals and three assists. Karly Okamoto, Louise Morr, Lauren Wieser and Elizabeth Barger also found the back of the net twice each, while Smith, Johanna Stevenson and Claire Westberg scored once apiece. Camdyn Zucker (three caused turnovers) and Westberg (six ground balls) also joined Smith in leading SFHS in the “hustle” stats. The Troubies scored 11 goals in the first half, including four in a span of 97 seconds. Senior goalkeeper Bella McCullough notched five saves, including four after the break. Similarly, the St. Francis JV took the game in hand quickly, with Olivia Alvernaz netting a career-best five goals. Zia Smith added a hat trick, with Matea Avery chipping in two goals with two assists. Olivia Hamm (2-1-3), Zoe Smith (0-2-2), Sofia Rabinovitz (1-2-3) and Chloe Garcia (0-1-1) also contributed to the offensive stat sheet. The Troubies continue a long homestand with a doubleheader against Del Oro Monday night. As usual, first draws are 5:30 and 7 p.m. at Mather.

    ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Sophomores Brynley Hodge and Elizabeth Barger amassed totals of six and five goals respectively, propelling St. Francis to a 17-0 shutout of Woodcreek in Delta League girls’ lacrosse action Wednesday night. The nightcap followed a 14-1 win for the Troubadours’ junior varsity, thanks to six goals from Zia Smith.
