ROCKLIN, Calif. -- Junior midfielder Micaela Romo scored a goal in each end of a doubleheader as St. Francis' varsity soccer snared neutral-site wins over Placer and Antelope in tournament action at Rocklin High Friday.

The Troubadours remain undefeated at 4-0-1. The 12-team tournament is hosted jointly by Rocklin and Whitney, with games split evenly between the two sites.

Romo scored her first goal of the day on a corner kick in the 2-0 win over Placer. Jaycee DeFazio put St. Francis on the board just a minute into the contest, then Romo followed her own corner to make it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Romo and Mika Shinoda earned assists in the opener.

The Troubies fired 16 shots in the afternoon victory against the Titans, with Romo's goal in the fourth minute as the only attempt finding the back of the net. Attacker Audrey Shackelford, one of the varsity team's few sophomores, had the assist on the play.

St. Francis takes on Del Campo at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The 12 teams are then seeded based on win-loss and goal differential, then will take part in placing games at 3:30, 5:00 and 6:30 p.m.

The SFHS JV Gold and JV Red teams were also in tournament action at Inderkum and Natomas. Check GoTroubies.com for coverage on their Friday results.
